Hylaform

Hylaform (hylan-B gel) is a temporary injectable dermal filler used for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Hylaform is derived from a purified form of hyaluronic acid from specially bred poultry. Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar that is found in human skin and throughout the body. Hyaluronic acid helps to maintain skin volume by attracting and binding water to the skin cells.

As we age, time and sun exposure causes the hyaluronic acid in your skin to diminish, resulting in skin deterioration – such as loss of skin volume and formation of lines and wrinkles. The dermal filler imitates the effects of natural hyaluronic acid when injected below the surface of the skin, by plumping the injection site and adding volume. This smoothes the lines and wrinkles being treated.
