Microdermabrasion During this procedure, the doctor or trained technician uses a device that sprays tiny crystals onto the skin. This device acts like a fine sandblaster that applies gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead skin cells. Microdermabrasion exfoliates and gently resurfaces the skin, promoting the formation of new smoother, clearer skin. Although generally performed on the face and neck, it can be performed on any other part of the body. The procedure generally takes between 15 to 30 minutes, and can be repeated once every one to three weeks. Benefits of microdermabrasion: * Corrects rough skin texture For more severe cases, a more aggressive treatment called Dermabrasion is used.
