Sculptra®

Sculptra® is a synthetic biocompatible, biodegradable filler known as “poly-L-lactic acid”. Used to correct signs of facial fat loss (known as “lipoatrophy”), it is injected below the surface of the skin to restore fullness to skin thickness to improve the appearance of indentations in the skin, sunken cheeks and hollow eyes. Results are gradual and can last up to two years. Although Sculptra® does not correct the underlying cause of the facial fat loss, it will help improve the appearance by increasing skin thickness in the treated area.
